BAMBOO RISING

Permanent Goblet 1 It’s the little additions we come up with in our designs that make a difference.  Financially and artfully.  These don’t have to be earth shattering.  Just enough to give visual dimension.   A little more time can give a whole lotta soul.

En suites in most houses probably aren’t embellished with permanent designs.  Or if they are, might be a good idea to throw it out.  Change up asked for, I oblige.  Continue reading BAMBOO RISING

Vintage Embellishing

Sharing is my way of living longer, giving back to a career that’s been creatively awesome while making money as a cool by product.  Designing floral art is tremendous, but making money from it is even better.  Take this vintage spring for example.  An opportunity to add my touches while giving the client an outdoor visual in her patio….and a few bucks for me. Melaleuca Bark For Incredible Creating

With my motto “Nature provides, we accept!” my harvesting continues with one of my faves, bark from the ever-generous melaleuca tree.   With different varieties around the planet,  I’m fortunate that many grow right in my area of California.

This tree has incredible benefits for our physical health  (the Melaleuca line of products has amazing healing powers) but my love is using this wonder different ways in my designs. Continue reading Melaleuca Bark For Incredible Creating

Willow Gives Just The Right Touch!

These two prints are the perfect size for any area in your home,  a bit contemporary in their interpretation of nature while maintaining the love of birds we all seem to gravitate to.  With nature as the base adding willow and moss gives the prints more of a 3-D feel.  These goods were purchased at World Market, quite a find for the price I might add.

After placing the units,  grab your willow, moss, and glue gun.  This is such a simple way to give your wall pieces more dimension which will turn these little gems into visual art for you or your client to enjoy for years.  Go for it, and create with wonder!

A Ficus Creation

Chuck Merrill Ficus (6)When duty calls, we rise to the occasion!  That’s exactly what happened when I had a request to fill an entry niche with an artificial plant.   Did I cower with fear, that fear of not knowing what to design for the space, the amount to charge while making sure I came out on top financially?  Well, maybe just a little…..but that’s when we learn, grow and show what we’re made of! Today’s Permanent designs ain’t your mom’s “silk” arrangements……the awesome product available from local retailers such as Michael’s Crafts, JoAnn Fabric and Craft, and Beverly’s Crafts make these designs become floral art pieces for your or a client’s home and office.  They are a passion of mine; just something about the way you can add  natural touches such as branches, pods, and mosses that gives these arrangements incredible style.
